Functional Nutrition
functional medicine for the rest of us
Functional Nutrition uses validated questionnaires, symptoms, diet & lifestyle diaries, and lab tests to create a picture your body’s internal physiology. It is a systems approach to targeting the root-causes of disease and dysfunction. In other words, what happens in the gut affects your brain, your organs, and your hormones and vice versa; all the systems work together, bidirectionally. Treatment consists of a comprehensive food first, plant-forward diet and lifestyle plan that may include supplements or herbs. I am partial to amino acid therapy, gut healing, and remineralization. While rather simple, this is powerful medicine. Consultations take place on Tuesdays only using Doxy, the HIPAA-compliant, private tele-health platform created specifically for healthcare practitioners and their patients.
Please be mindful that labs can take a few weeks to be processed.
I have a master’s in Human Nutrition & Functional Medicine through the University of the Western States in Portland OR. Since it was important to me to make functional nutrition accessible, I took additional courses in Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis, Blood Chemistry Analysis, and Functional Maternity. I am currently working on my 1000 hours of supervised clinic hours with Clinicians’ Incubator. Only non-identifying information relevant to assessment and treatment will be shared with Clinicians’ Incubator.
Initial 30-minute appointment, report detailing analysis of your physiological challenges and my individualized 12-week treatment plan for you, + two 45-minute follow up appointment (labs & supplements not included) = $300. Labs are offered at cost and supplements, via Fullscript, are offered at 15% off retail price. If you need to reschedule your appointment, please reach out with 48 hours notice. Within two to three days after booking an appointment, you will be sent an email with paperwork and instructions.
I am not a physician, I do not offer medical advice, & my services do not replace medical assessment or treatment by a western medical physician.
